Leg 2 – Doggone Creek – 17 km
Runners just love this leg last year, because of it’s this beauty and it’s variety of challenges. After starting off with a nasty climb you will make your way across fields to a beautiful valley which is the home to Doggone Creek. After crossing the creek (small bridge) you will make your way to the next station at the base of Moose Mountain. This leg uses roads, open fields, bush trails and rough slews, so be ready to expect anything.
Dirt and Grass Trail -approx. 40%
Gravel Roads -approx. 50%
Other* – approx. – 10%
Other* – may consist of highway crossings, streets, creek crossings, gravel pits and etc.
*Note: The elevation change of 161 meter is displayed over 17 km which gives a steeper appearance than it actually is (although by Leg 8 it will feel this steep).
